Emery Planning Planting Trees

Emery Planning joined a group of volunteers from Dane Valley Climate Action Group (DVCAG) on 12 December to assist with an exciting tree planting project.  The group helped to plant around 800 saplings as part of an Agroforestry project in the Cheshire Fringes of the Peak Park, which will eventually form a windbreak providing shelter for farm animals as well as ecological and climate benefits.

The project is a collaboration between DVCAG and Cheshire Wildlife Trust, who are very active in the Cheshire fringes of the Peak Park, largely undertaking rewilding on farmland.  One such project is a very large Agroforestry scheme, where work is underway to plant 11.5K with much of the planting work being carried out by volunteers under Wildlife Trust guidance.
