Meet Aaron – Car enthusiast extraordinaire

Meet Aaron Marrs, Senior Planning Consultant MRTPI at Emery Planning, and car enthusiast extraordinaire!

From a young age, Aaron’s passion for cars was evident. His inquisitive mind would analyse every detail, even in the nursery car park! His love for “old bangers” with brown vinyl interiors knew no bounds, and he would spend hours engrossed in vintage car brochures and magazines.

When the day finally came for him to get behind the wheel, Aaron embraced the opportunity with gusto. He started with his mom’s cherished Peugeot 206, but it wasn’t long before he acquired his beloved Rover 45, affectionately named Hyacinth. And guess what? He still owns it today!

But Aaron’s car journey didn’t stop there. In 2021, fate intervened when a friend alerted him to an elderly man selling his Rover. Aaron’s heart skipped a beat, knowing that this gem needed a worthy caretaker. Without hesitation, he embarked on a restoration journey, enlisting the help of friends and bodywork specialists. Today, that Rover shines like a star and graces car shows across the country.

Aaron’s dedication and love for automobiles were recognised when his beloved Rover was chosen among thousands of entries to be part of the prestigious ‘Festival of the Unexceptional’ concourse area. It was a dream come true for this passionate car enthusiast!

When weekends come around, you’ll find Aaron happily tinkering away on one of the cars in his household, much to the amusement of his neighbours. They jokingly say, “You’ll polish the paint off that!” But for Aaron, it’s a labour of love that keeps him out of trouble and brings him immense joy.

So, here’s to Aaron Marrs, the man with an insatiable love for cars and a heart full of passion. May the roads always be open, and may his automotive adventures continue to shine bright!
