Oakmere, Somerford – Cheshire East Council

Project Overview Emery Planning have secured planning permission for a single-storey side extension at Oakmere, Holmes Chapel Road, Somerford, on behalf of our client. The proposal sought to provide additional living accommodation through the creation of a home office and garden room extension that would integrate seamlessly with the existing dwelling. The application was approved by Cheshire East Council under reference 26/2948/HOUS. The Site The application site comprises a detached bungalow known as Oakmere, located on Holmes Chapel Road in Somerford. The property sits within the Open Countryside and the Jodrell Bank Observatory Consultation Zone/World Heritage Buffer Zone. The site benefits from a spacious plot and is well screened by existing landscaping, with neighbouring properties located a considerable distance away. The property was originally used as an office building and was granted retrospective planning permission for change of use to a dwelling in 2006, with permitted development rights being removed.
