After a 5-day Public Inquiry that generated extensive local interest, planning permission has been granted by the Planning Inspectorate for the construction of 39 new homes on Grange Road. Despite the initial refusal by the Council on Townscape concerns and the identification of the site as Greenspace in the emerging Local Plan, the Inspector agreed with the Appellant that the proposal aligns with the adopted development plan, was not premature in the context of the emerging plan and brings numerous benefits, including much-needed market and affordable housing.
