New Fold Farm, Soil Hill, Halifax – Calderdale Council

Emery Planning was instructed to progress a planning application for a replacement dwelling to a traditional farmhouse in the designated Green Belt in Soil Hill, near Halifax.

The proposed replacement dwelling, designed by Andrew Wallace Architects, was for a high-quality, modern and sustainable design concept that represented a departure from other properties within the wider countryside. Officers agreed that the scheme would not be materially larger for the purposes of Green Belt planning policy and that the design concept would be acceptable in this rural setting. Planning permission was therefore granted by Calderdale Council.
