Emery Planning and Grays Architecture Ltd have secured planning permission for 18 no. affordable homes in the Urmston area of Trafford on behalf of Branley Homes.
The proposal involves the redevelopment of a previously developed site for the construction of a 3-storey apartment building. The apartments are to be let at an affordable rent to those in need by Irwell Valley Homes, and the scheme will make an important contribution towards meeting unmet affordable housing needs across Trafford. The local planning authority acknowledged the balance struck between making efficient use of a brownfield site and securing a high-quality design that responds positively to the surrounding area.
With Homes England funding already secured, construction work is scheduled to commence as soon as possible on the delivery of this much-needed affordable housing scheme.
